Biography

Dr. Nuzhat Faruqui is an Associate Professor of Urology and Associate Chief Medical Officer at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi. Her clinical interests include female urology, pelvic floor reconstruction and reconstructive urology.

Alongside her clinical and academic work, she is a founding member and President of ULPHAT Welfare Organization, established in 2009. Through the organisation, she supports surgical care for children from underserved families and medical outreach in communities across Pakistan. Her humanitarian interests include maternal and child health, preventive healthcare, rehabilitation and emergency relief.

Her submitted recognitions include the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2018, a Letter of Commendation from the Chief of Naval Staff in 2018, and the honorary rank of Surgeon Commander in the Pakistan Navy in 2019.
