Biography
Dr Sara Salman, Zuberi is a public health specialist and paediatrician with more than 20 years of experience in global health, maternal and child health, emergency response and health systems strengthening. She serves as Medical Officer for Child and Adolescent Health at the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean.
Her work includes technical support to Member States and regional health priorities. Previously, as Head of WHO’s sub-office in Sindh, she contributed to responses to outbreaks, COVID-19, drought and flooding, alongside initiatives in service delivery and preventive healthcare.
She has coordinated donor-funded programmes and partnerships involving government, UN agencies and civil society. Her qualifications include postgraduate study in Public Administration and Public Health. Her professional focus is equitable access to healthcare and practical, context-sensitive health solutions.
