Biography

Fauzia Khan is an independent multidisciplinary artist based in Karachi, with a painting practice dating to 1979. Her work spans landscape painting, calligraphy, murals, glass and stone, using oil, acrylic and watercolour. Trees, roots, nature and cultural heritage are recurring themes in her practice.

Her portfolio includes solo exhibitions at galleries and cultural institutions in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, alongside group exhibitions in Pakistan and internationally. Selected exhibitions include Roots & Rocks at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, in 2003, Devotion at CitiArt Gallery in 2016, and Mystic Aroma of the Soil at Ocean Art Gallery in 2022.

She developed and hosted Tere Rung Rung on Vibe TV from 2007 to 2009, combining live painting demonstrations with interviews with other artists. Her wider creative work includes interior decor and fashion design. She has also contributed to environmental and charitable art initiatives. She welcomes speaking, panel, media, mentoring and art-demonstration opportunities.
